No DescriptionFor Your Safety

All pets must be in a carrier or on a leash at all times.  We will be happy to provide one to you if needed.  For your safety, we also ask that you do not use retractable leashes while you are here.  Please use one of our leashes during your visit.  Thank you.

Restraint Policy

For your safety, please allow our staff to restrain your pet during the examination.

Work-ins & Walk-ins

Work-in/walk-in appointments will be seen in the order of their arrival after scheduled appointments, unless it is an emergency.  Please be advised that it can be a long wait.  A technician may triage your pet upon arrival to be sure they are stable.  We encourage you to drop your pet off to be examined.  If your pet's condition is not of an urgent nature, you may be asked to make a regular appointment.  Work-ins/walk-ins arriving less than 1 ½ hours before closing will be charged a late day emergency exam fee.  Emergencies arriving less than 1 ½ hours before closing may be asked to go to an Emergency clinic if it is in your pet's best interest.

Deposit/Payment Policy

Young's Animal Hospital requires full payment at the time of service for care provided to your pet.  Major surgeries and treatment for sick or hospitalized pets requires a full deposit (in the amount of the treatment plan) when the pet is admitted to the hospital.  In the event that additional charges are incurred while caring for your pet, payment is due when treatment is concluded.  For your convenience, we accept Cash, Check, Debit Cards, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express.  We do not accept checks from non-clients or first  time clients.  We also offer a 3rd party billing option through CareCredit and CitiHealth.  We would be happy to provide you with more information on this option.  Thank you for your understanding.

Return Policy

Due to FDA Regulations, prescription items are unable to be returned.  In some cases there are exceptions; please check with the front desk staff for more information.

Prescription Dispensing

Due to Florida law, we are unable to prescribe, dispense, or sell prescription medications, or prescription foods without a current doctor-client-patient relationship.  Pets must be examined yearly in order to maintain a current relationship.

Return Check Policy

We accept checks from local banks, with local ID only.  In the event that your check is returned unpaid due to insufficient funds, you will be charged a return check fee as follows:  $25.00 for checks under $50.00, $30.00 for checks over $50.00.  If the balance must be sent to collections, you will be subject to a collection agency fee and/or legal fees of up to 40% of the outstanding balance.  We will no longer accept checks from clients who have had a previously returned check.

Pricing Policy

In order to continue to provide quality care for your pet, Young's Animal Hospital may increase prices at any time.  All written estimates will be honored for thirty (30) days.  After thirty (30) days, or without a written estimate, the current prices will be honored.  If you have any questions regarding our pricing, please ask before services are rendered, and we will be happy to provide you with a written estimate.  Thank you for your understanding.
